The Fit Expo Highlights and a visit from Olympian Marti Malloy

At The Fit Expo in San Jose, the Marpo booth was a non-stop riot of fitness and fun. The 60-Second Challenge attracted contestants from all ages and demonstrated how exhilarating fitness can be.

"It's a great workout. Tough, but great," said one Expo attendee. A sentiment echoed my the many that came by to try their hand at a the 60-Second Challenge, where contestants attempt to pull the greatest distance on the VMX Rope Trainer in one minute. "This machine is phenomenal. If you want a great cardio workout... this machine is for you", says Dr. Miguel Pagan of MPower Chiropractic.

Also present in the booth was president and founder of Marpo Kinetics, Marius Popescu. Marius is the inventor of the Marpo Rope Trainers and a former competitive judo athlete, winning national titles and serving as an Olympic alternate for the 1996 Olympic Judo team.  "Marpo Rope Trainers were developed for functionality. We do grip work, upper body strength and endurance training using them. It's all about efficiency and safety", says Marius.

So it was one of the highlights of the day when US Olympic athlete, Marti Malloy stopped by the Marpo booth to check in with fellow judoka Marius Popescu. "Marti is an amazing young athlete. She has earned her place as an Olympian and I'm sure we will see much more from her in years to come. She's talented, disciplined and a hard worker; she's got everything it takes to make it", says Marius of his old friend and fellow judoka.
