More Ways To Hydrate: Just Say No To Brominated Vegetable Oil

Brominated vegetable oil is under the microscope lately with many nutrition conscious authorities encouraging that makers cease the use of the additive. While the FDA has yet to ban it's use, might we suggest less controversial ways to hydrate.

  1. Coconut Water - It's high in potassium, contains no fat or cholesterol and won't give you a red mustache.
  2. Eat Your Water - We normally get a fair amount of water from foods. Why not help your body out by choosing cucumber, cabbage, zucchini for your mid day meal? High in water content, low cal, and can be prepared in loads of satisfying ways these should come with their own splashy marketing campaign.
  3. Water Before Coffee - Start your day with a glass of water before your morning cup o'joe. Your body hasn't had a drop to drink all night and needs to replenish. Room temp is good, icy water won't hydrate you as quickly.
  4. Water; Don't Leave Home Without It - When you leave the house be sure to grab keys, phone and your water bottle. Sips throughout the day. Make it a habit. If you only go for a drink when your thirsty, you're probably already dehydrated.
  5. Have It Your Way - Water with lemon, cucumber, mint, frozen strawberries, grapes, blueberries... you get the idea. There plenty of ways to get your H2O without chemicals and a celebrity endorsement. You're welcome.

Whether or not Brominated Vegetable Oil causes neurological issues, birth defects, hearing loss and schizophrenia will most surely continue be debated. We however, don't like to take chances.

Cheers,
Team Marpo
